چکیده

Low density parity check (LDPC) codes are one of the best error correcting codes in today’s coding world and are known to approach the Shannon limit. As with all other channel coding schemes, LDPC codes add redundancy to the uncoded input data to make it more immune to channel impairments. In addition to coding, the best modulation techniques available today are MSK (Minimum Shift Keying) and GMSK (Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying). By using these modulation techniques in combination with LDPC codes, the paper compares the performance of coded MSK and coded GMSK with each other and with their uncoded counterparts over Nakagami fading channel for different values of m. The results show that a significant coding gain is obtained by using LDPC codes. It is also seen that although the error performance of LDPC coded MSK is slightly better than LDPC coded GMSK, the former is spectrally inefficient.

Ber Evaluation of Ldpc Codes with Gmsk in Nakagami Fading Channel

LDPC codes (Low Density Parity Check Codes) have already proved its efficacy while showing its performance near to the Shannon limit. Channel coding schemes are spectrally inefficient as using an unfiltered binary data stream to modulate an RF carrier that will produce an RF spectrum of considerable bandwidth. Techniques have been developed to improve this bandwidth inefficiency or spectral eff...

Abstract—Exact expressions for bit-error probability (BEP) for coherent square detection of uncoded and coded M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (MQAM) using an array of antennas with maximal ratio combining (MRC) in a flat fading channel interference

Exact expressions for bit-error probability (BEP) for coherent square detection of uncoded and coded M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (MQAM) using an array of antennas with maximal ratio combining (MRC) in a flat fading channel interference limited system in a Nakagami-m fading environment is derived. The analysis assumes an arbitrary number of independent and identically distributed Nakag...

Partially Coherent EGC Reception of Uncoded and LDPC-Coded Signals over Generalized Fading Channels

This paper studies the bit-error rate (BER) performance of partially coherent equal-gain combining reception of uncoded and low-density parity-check (LDPC)-coded binary and quaternary phase-shift keying signals over generalized α − μ fading channels. For the uncoded signal detection case the obtained numerical and simulation results illustrate the BER performance degradation due to the imperfec...

Low-Complexity LDPC-Coded USTM Noncohereny MIMO Receivers

This paper proposes a scheme of combining low-density parity check (LDPC) code with unitary space time modulation (USTM) for noncoherent multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) transmitter and receiver over Rayleigh block fading and additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel. The main aim is to design the low complexity coded noncoherent MIMO receiver which is completely dependent on the struct...
